    Sarah Garlick lost her first husband, Benjamin Richmond, while he was serving in the Mormon Battalion. Richmond asked his best friend, WIlliam Strong, to marry and care for his widow. William and Sarah had two children which were sealed to Sarah and Benjamin. She later divorced William and married William Kerswell.

    Biography of Sarah Elizabeth Garlick who was born October 12, 1830 in Springhill, Pennsylvania. She was the sixth child born to David and Elizabeth (Buck) Garlick.

      ENDOWMENT: Also 12 Jan 1869.

      SEALING OF CHILDREN: It has been said that Sarah had John Albert Strong and James Jacob Strong sealed to Benjamin Boyce Richmond on 19 Nov 1890 in the Manti Temple. It cannot be verified.
