      MILITARY SERVICE: Listed as a private in the Fourth Class, Sixth (Captain Michael Kauffelt) Company, First Battalion, York County Militia, 1782 (Pennsylvania Archives, 6th Series, II-443).

      ORPHAN'S COURT RECORDS OF YORK COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA: Dated 6 April 1830 state the following about Jacob's family: Children: Susanna, wife of Abraham Stouffer; Christina, wife of George Blouse; George; Mary, wife of Jacob Sprenkle; Elizabeth, wife of Samuel Overdorff; Jacob; John; Lehna, wife of John Strong; Frederick; Adam; Lydia; Catharine; Sampson; Peggy. According to Jerry Haddock, there was a second Orphans Court filing on 6 Sep 1831.

      LAND RECORDS: 31 July 1846 Frederick Emenheiser of Lower Windsor Township, Elizabeth wife of Samuel Oberdorff of Windsor Township, Catharine wife of John Ziegler of York, Peggy wife of Henry Gilbert of Lower Windsor Township, children of the late Jacob Emenheiser of Windsor Township, release of property.
