    • RESIDENCE: 1) During the 1800 Census, Johannes Imenhäuser's family was residing in Bald Eagle Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
      2) John moved west and established the western Imenhauser branch.

      ORDINANCES: Sarah Hill Strong was baptized for "John Immenheisel", her grandfather, in the Mississippi River. Date unknown. Source: Nauvoo Baptismal Records of the Dead.

      MILITARY DUTY: John was listed as a private in the Third Class, First (Captain Jacob Beaver) Company, Third Battalion, York County Militia in 1777 (MS in the Archives Division, Pennsylvania State Library, H.J. Young, York County Pennsylvania in the American Revolution: a Source Book [MS], Black Series, 566; Pennsylvania Archives, 6th Series, II-607), also (MS Archives Division: Young, op. cit. Black Series, 569; Pennsylvania Archives, 6th Series, II-486). He was still with this unit when in 1780 it became the Sixth Company (Pennsylvania Archives, 6th Series, II-439, 443).

      DEATH: Some sources list it as "About 1832".
