Anna J. Thoren, 90, died at 9:05 am Sunday, July 5, 1987 in Burgess Square Healthcare Center after a short illness. Born Oct. 26, 1897, in Barrington, daughter of William and Minnie Schwemm Schnetlage. Lived 57 years in Rockford coming from Chicago. Married Oliver H. Thoren in Barrington, April 30, 1919; he died June 2, 1977. She was a homemaker. member and past officer of several garden clubs, most recently the Green Thumb, Rockford; also former member Mendelssohn Club. Graduated from Barrington High school in 1915. Survivors include daughter, Faustine N. Thoren, Rockford, many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by four sisters and a brother. Services at 10 am in Ulrey Funeral Home-Chapel of the Chimes, 7000 West State St. with Rev Scott Snow officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 am to service Wednesday. Memorial to Rockford Memorial Hospital Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
