      Robert Tronson
      DRAIN- Robert O. Tronson of Drain died June 26 of heart failure. He was 88.
      Thronson was born May 2, 1917 in Arlington, Wash., to Casper and Margit Christinsen Tronson.
      He married DeMarris Beagle on Aug 31, 1945 in Kelso, Wash.
      He graduated from Arlington High school in Arlington, Wash., He served as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps in World War II from 1942-194- in the European theater.
      Tronson worked in the woods for many years, in high climbing and spar tree rigging and also worked for Woodard industries.
      He worked as a dryer tender for a Weyerhaeuser plywood mill for 20 years and later restored homes and furniture for resale.
      He had lived in the Cottage Grove area most of the time since 1950, but also lived in Albany during that period.
      He enjoyed woodworking, playing the harmonica and reading. He belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints First Ward in Cottage Grove.
      Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Margit McReynolds of Cottage Grove and Meridee Morris of Drain; a sister, Ruth Jacobs of Arlington, Wash., eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Two daughters, Barbara Crooks and Kitty Bivens, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild died previously.
      A gathering of family and friends will be held later. Smith-Lund MIlls Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove is in charge of arrangements.
      Memorial contributions may be made to any animal shelter.
