      Avis Sue Jennings
      Avis S. Jennings, 92, of Anacortes died Dec. 12, 2001, at a local care center.
      She was born Sept. 16, 1909, in Leesville, La., the daughter of Sam and Amanda (Troxell) Kay. Avis spent much of her time doing genealogy work and was a very loving mother and grandmother.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Jennings in 1981.
      Avis is survived by her sons, James E. Jennings of Oakridge, Tenn., and Warren Miller of Houston, Texas; her daughter, Carolyn Miller of Portales, N.M.; her grandson, Jamie Jennings of Anacortes; and her granddaughter, Karen Pringle.
      Arrangements are under the care of Evans Funeral Chapel of Anacortes.

      She is survived by her sons Warren Miller of Houston and James E. Jennings of Oakridge, Tenn.; her daughter Carolyn Miller of Portalis, N.M., her grandsons James Jennings and Stephen Jennings and her granddaughter Karyn Pringle, all of Anacortes; her granddaughter Jennifer Rauch of Burlington, Ky., and six great grandchildren.
