      Billy (William Jennings Burke), was born in Eureka on October 31,1928.
      Hazel's son, William Jennings Burke, who was nine years old when his mother died, grew up in Silverton and graduated from high school in 1947. He was married in Aurora, Colorado, on April 4, 1950, to Miss Dora Brown, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Brown of Ridgway, Colorado. Doris graduated from Ridgway High School in 1949. At the time of their marriage, Billy was a corporal in the Army Medical Corps. A son, William J. Burke, Jr., was born to them in San Antonio, Texas on June 25, 1951. Bill Burke, the father, completed 25 years service in the U.S. Army and died suddenly in Monterey, California after a heart attack in early 1971.
