      VERNA MCKEE BENNINGHOFF
      Mary 18, 1910-Aug 28, 1994
      Portland- Verna McKee Benninghoff, 84, formerly of Salem, died Sunday.
      She was born in Portland. She attended Oregon State University where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She lived in Jefferson from 1920-1930 and from 1934-1938 when she moved to Salem. She moved to Portland in 1941 and lived in Milwaukie from 1987-1993 when she moved to a care home. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.
      She married George H. Carroll; he died in 1934. She then married Howard L. Benninghoff; he died in 1974. Survivors include her sons, Joe C. Benninghoff of Salem and Paul H. Benninghoff of Portland; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
      Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sellwood United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kellingsworth mortuary.
