DEATH CLAIMS CHARLES HOOVER
Hoquiam- Charles Henry Hoover Jr., 44, of 1911 Riverside ave., died last night in an Aberdeen hospital following a short illness.
Born in Portland, Ore., Mr. Hoover came to Hoquiam as a child in 1924. He was graduated from Hoquiam High School and served with the U. S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific during several major campaigns in World War II.
He was recalled for service in the Korean conflict.
Before World War II and before he was recalled for the Korean conflict, Mr. Hoover worked for the Acme Door Company. He had been with the West Coast Plywood Corp. since his Korean discharge.
He was a 25 year member of IWA.
Surviving Mr. Hoover are his widow, Zolka; a daughter, Ann Lenora Hoover, and a son Charles Henry Hoover III all at the home; mother, Mrs. Lenora Hoover, Hoquiam and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Watkins, Aberdeen.
Rosary services will be conducted in the Coleman Chapel at 7 0'clock tonight.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Coleman Chapel with full military honors. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
