      " Dora was born in a little 3 room cabin on her grand parent's property (Hoover Homestead at Ostrander) When her parents moved to Canby, Oregon sometime before 1915, Dora stayed on with her grandma Fisher for a while. She later moved to Canby with her folks and worked in a store there.
      When Dora married Ralph Fisher (who everyone called Brownie) they moved to Winlock, WA for one year. Ralph played the piano in Winlock and in Kelso for silent movies for the first 7 years Dora and him were married."
