Obituary for Walter:
Walter Jennings 86, Ninth Ave SW, died early Friday (Nov 10, 1972) at the Happy Siesta retirement home at Remsen after an illness of several months.
A retired laborer, Mr. Jennings was a lifelong resident of Le Mars.
Funeral services will be Monday, Nov 13, at 1:30 P.M. at the church of Nazarene, Le Mars, with Rev. Brandt Freeburg officiating.
Burial will be in the LeMars Memorial cemetery under the directions of the Mauer funeral home, LeMars.
Mr. Jennings was born Aug. 31, 1886 in LeMars, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Jennings. He and Esther A. Taylor were married Jan 28, 1914 in LeMars.
Mr. Jennings was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan 7, 1971, his parents, two infant daughters and a son, Donald.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs Paul (Leona) Strong of Sioux City; three sons, Charles and Robert of LeMars and Walter of Sedalia, MO; a brother Roy of LeMars, 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

TAYLOR-JENNINGS WEDDING
Well Known Young People Principals in Happy Event
Miss Esther Taylor and Walter Jennings, both of this city, were united in marriage on Wednesday evening, January 28, at the Presbyterian manse, Rev. C. G. Butler performing the ceremony which was witnessed by a few relatives and intimate friends.
The bride and groom are members of well known families residing in this city. Mr. Jennings is a valued employee of the Plymouth Milling company.
The newly wedded young people will go to housekeeping in a cottage on Howard street.
