Death of Charles Jennings.
Charles Jennings died at the home of his father, John Jennings on High street, yesterday morning at half past three o’clock, of pneumonia. He was only ill a week. He caught a cold which developed into a severe attack of pneumonia and the efforts of skilled physicians and nurses were unable to prolong his life.
Charles Jennings was born near McCook, S.D., on December 26, 1869. He lived in LeMars nearly all his life his father being one of the pioneer settlers of this locality.
The funeral will be held at the First Baptist church this afternoon at half past two o’clock. He leaves a father and mother, five brothers and three sisters to mourn his death. Two of his sisters Mrs. H. A. Turner and Mrs. O. F. Bradfield, of Silverton, Colo., were informed of his illness and came in time to see him before the end.”
