    • JAMES STRONG'S WILL NOTES 8 CHILDREN. HE HAD 6 SONS. IT MENTIONS DAUGHTERS (PLURAL). IN THE 1790 CENSUS, THE HOUSEHOLD CONTAINED 4 FEMALES. IN THE 1800 CENSUS, IT CONTAINED ONE FEMALE UNDER AGE 10 AND ONE BETWEEN 16 AND 25. TO DATE WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO IDENTIFY THIS CHILD.

      1. There is a church record of a daughter born to Schim Strang (who may or may not be the same person as James Strong, Sr.). No mother is listed for this daughter. Some records attribute that daughter as this female child.

      2. Some records indicate this child to be Elizabeth Strong, but this is an error, for Elizabeth was actually born to James, Jr.
