    • BIRTH: One source in the IGI list a birth of "2 May 1843" another lists a birth of "1834". In the 1850 U.S. Census noted under sources for George's birth, his age is given as 8 (which would give him a birth date of about 1843). In the 1860 Census for Boggs, Centre County, Pennsylvania, FHL Film 805090, p. 383, Family #1724, George's age is given as 26 (which would have put his birth date as 1834.) We have chosen the 1850 census as being more accurate, as it is in closer proximity to his birth.
