664 This Johann Schorp may be the same Johannes Schorp who married Anna Catharina Cammerer, but we cannot yet be certain, as there is evidence in the records of Blankenloch that there was another Johannes Schorp who married a Catharina. More research is needed. Johann Schorp

665 This Johannes Schorp may be the same as the Johannes Schorp who was christened 12 March 1704 and died in 1755 in Blankenloch, Baden, Germany, the son of Melchior Schorp and Anna Eva Kiefer, but we cannot yet be sure, as there is evidence in Blankenloch records that there may have been at least two Johannes Schorps in the area, one of whom was married to an Anna Catharina and one who was married to a Catharina, and one who married a Maria Barbara. (See sources for Johannes Schorp in Family Search as well as sources for Johannes Schorp in New Family Search). More research is needed.
1) In New Family Search, there are two extracted marriage dates for Johannes Schorp (1704-1755) to Anna Catharina
(12 November 1726 and 8 Feb 1752). If this is the same individual, he either married a second Anna Catharina after the death of his first wife in 1749, or there are two Johannes Schorps.
2) In Family Search, a search for records of a Johannes Schorp reveal the following:
a) A Margretha was christened 2 April 1732 in Blankenloch, daughter of Johannes Schorp and Anna Catharina.
b) A Maria Catharina was christened 8 April 1735 in Blankenloch, the daughter of Johann Schorp and Anna Catharina.
c) A Margretha was christened 9 April 1738 in Blankenloch, the daughter of Johann Schorp and Anna Catharina.
c) A Justina was christened 28 July 1744 in Blankenloch, daughter of Johannes Schorp and Anna Catharina.
As Anna Catharina, first wife of Johannes Schorp, died in 1749, these children who follow could not be hers.
d) A Catharina was christened 17 July 1752 in Blankenloch, daughter of Johannes Schorp and Catharina.
e) A Barbara was christened 8 May 1754 in Blankenloch, the daughter of Johannes Schorp and Maria Barbara.
f) Blankenloch records show that a Johannes Schorp married a Maria Barbara Schlotterbeck 29 Sept 1750.

666 This Johannes Schorp may be the same Johannes Schorp who married Anna Catharina Cammerer (b. 1705, d. 1749) on 12 Nov 1726, but there is not yet enough information to make a firm connection. There is evidence in extracted sources from Blankenloch listed for Johannes Schorp in New Family Search as well as in records in Family Search for Johannes Schorp that there was more than one Johannes Schorp in Blankenloch at the time or that Johannes Schorp had three wives, two of whom were name Anna Catharina or Anna Catharina and Catharina. More research is needed. (See notes for Johannes Schorp who married Anna Catharina Cammerer [1705-1749]. Johannes Schorp

675 Jill Hertig, a family genealogist who is now deceased, did some research and found a possibility for the family of Catherine Schwab. I believe the source of her finding is: "Evidences of the Howard Families of York County before the year 1850" from Genealogical Reports for The Historical Society of York County, Volume XXVI, p 91(?): Henry James Young, Director.
The following is noted: "On April 1, 809, Margaret Schwaab, widow and relict of Adam Schwaab, late of Hellam Township, deceased, Henry Schwaab, a son of the deceased, Joseph Kraft and Juliana his wife, Peter Kramer and Magdalena his wife, David Riehm and Anna Maria his wife, Jacob Strong and Catharine his wife, the said Julianna, Magdalena, Anna Maria and Catherine all being daughters of the said Adam Schwaab, dec., who died in intestate in Hellam Township, sold a tract of land." This can be found in deeds recorded from 1749 to 1850, inclusive in the office of the Recorder of Deeds, Court House, York, Pennsylvania, in 2T, 368.

WILL: Jacob and Catherine were the parents of thirteen children, all born at Windsor Township, York, Pennsylvania, but there is some discrepancy regarding who those children are, their dates of birth, and the order of their birth as indicated by the will of Catharine.

In her will, dated 9 February 1856, Catharine purports that her heirs included John Strong, deceased “my eldest;” Daniel Strong, “my fourth son;” the rest of my children, which are eleven, are to share equally, except “my eldest dotter (sic) Polley Dewey” and the executor is to pay the same to her eldest son, Jacob Miller, grandson of Catharine Strong. (Kingman Brothers, Historical Atlas, Fulton Co., Ind. [1883], 41; Jean C. Tombaugh, Fulton Co., Ind. Abstracts of Wills 1839-1899 25-26.) Catharine died on while in Fulton County, Indiana, on 5th July 1859 her stone reading, “Catharine Strong, wife of Jacob Strong, died July 5, 1859, at age 76 yr. & 5 mo.”

690 BIRTH: A twin. Anna Eva Stober, (twin)

691 BIRTH DATE and MARRIAGE DATE: Anna Margretha was apparently married at the age of 11, which is not common in Germany. However, after talking with our researcher, her birth date and marriage date are definitely noted in the records as recorded, and there is more than one indication that her birth was indeed in 1679. Her ordinances were done under an Anna Margretha Stober in the IGI who is listed as being born "about 1668." Since her parentage, spouse, and marriage date match with our Anna Margretha, it can be determined that our Anna Margretha born in 1679 and the 1668 Anna Margretha are the same individuals, so the ordinances do not need to be redone. Anna Margretha Stober

694 There are no records in Staffort prior to 1667, so it is impossible to determine the parentage of Hanß Jost Stober. It is also impossible to tell if Hanß and Anna Catharina had children prior to Dec 1668. Hanß Jost Stober
