Mr. Bradfield was leading a spirited horse which became frightened at a dog and making a sudden plunge knocked him and the little girl violently to the ground breaking the child's collar bone. One little old lady named Nancy Kearny, who had been a Strong before her marriage said, “Oh, we had the most fun when Billy McCague came.” Then an aunt asked me one time, “Frances, do you know anything about the McCagues that went away with the Strongs and then later they went to Minnesota?” I had never heard anyone say anything about Minnesota and I haven’t since.
